I live and write in New York City. My play “Throgs Neck” kicks off the 2021 reading series @ The Drawing Board. Based in NYC, this collective of professional theatre and film artists helps develop new works for the stage and screen by offering table reads, workshops and staged readings. For free e-tickets to the Jan. 25 online reading, go to Eventbrite here. For more about the story, cast and characters, check on the reading’s webpage here.
My poems have appeared in Contemporary Ghazals, Poeming Pigeon, Poetry in Form (Medium), Blue Lake Review, Burningword Literary Journal and Grape Press. My essays have appeared on Medium in Better Humans and other Medium publications.
I attended the Writers Studio, an independent creative writing school founded by the Pulitzer Prize winning poet Philip Schultz. In my final two years, I was a member of Phil’s master class. I earned my graduate and undergraduate degrees at New York University, where I majored in English education and also studied journalism, filmmaking and art history.
For many years, I worked as a corporate writer for companies such as IBM, AIG and Empire Blue Cross and Blue Shield. These days, I devote my writing efforts to essays, plays and poetry.
